During my time at Leisure Electronics, while completing my apprenticeship, I began taking on freelance work that grew rapidly. I started with just a few clients, and as I continued to produce quality work, demand for my services increased. Below, you'll find a selection of projects I’ve created for some of my clients.
One of my first clients was Bill Gill Football Coaching. I initially reached out to Bill via email, offering my services for free in exchange for the opportunity to collaborate. After a productive meeting where I made several suggestions to enhance his brand, Bill insisted on compensating me for my work. I helped him establish a consistent visual theme for his social media posts, which played a key role in boosting his brand presence across his digital platforms. I designed a set of templates for him to use in creating future graphics, and an example of these can be seen below.
I also recommended to Bill that he incorporate SEO-friendly text on his website to help improve its visibility (more details on this can be found on my dedicated SEO page). Additionally, I created a video advert for Bill Gill Football Coaching, which is available on my YouTube channel. The video was designed to showcase the various services Bill offers and raise awareness of his brand. Bill was thrilled with the result, and our collaboration continued. When he began coaching a semi-professional football team, LIV Supplies, he enlisted my help to film their matches. Every fortnight, I film the home games for LIV Supplies, providing footage that is later used for post-match analysis.
Beyond sports, I also have a passion for drama. Growing up, I was involved in a drama group called Paper Plane Productions (PPP). I reached out to Jenny, the founder of PPP, to offer my help in establishing their digital presence, which was almost nonexistent at the time. I guided Jenny on how to leverage social media effectively, emphasizing the importance of posts that highlight the fun and engaging aspects of the group to attract new members. As a result of my involvement, the group saw a significant increase in membership, from 25 to 32 members in just one year—the largest growth in their history! In addition to my work on their digital presence, I also photograph the shows they put on, providing visuals for their social media channels.
In October 2024, I had the opportunity to photograph the wedding after-party for Sam and Natalie. Sam learned about my work through his sister, who was familiar with my photography. I covered the entire evening event, capturing the special moments, and was able to provide a quick turnaround, delivering the edited and refined photos within a week. Sam and Natalie were thrilled with the results and expressed their satisfaction by saying they would happily recommend me to anyone in need of a photographer in the future.
